DIY Pumpkin Lavender Body Butter Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup shea butter
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seed oil
  • 15 – 20 drops lavender essential oil
  • 3 airtight containers, 4 oz (these are the containers I used)

How to Make DIY Pumpkin Lavender Body Butter
Using the double broiler method, add coconut oil and shea butter to a glass measuring pitcher over a pan of shallow boiling water. (You do not want the boiling water to touch the glass measuring pitcher.) Heat coconut oil and shea butter until melted, mixing often with a whisk.

Remove from heat and add pumpkin seed oil. Place in the refrigerator to cool and set up (like jello does), approximately 2 hours. Once solid beat with an electric hand mixer until light and fluffy. Add 15 to 20 drops of lavender essential oil and blend with a hand mixer. Spoon DIY Pumpkin Lavender Body Butter into airtight containers.
