The TV Series Stargirl: What You Need To Know

Stargirl has been renewed for a third season. The show is adapting the Justice Society of America into a live-action show. Characters like Wildcat, Doctor Mid-Nite, and Hourman are featured in season 3. Stargirl’s creator Geoff Johns said that he hopes to one day introduce Arrowverse characters like Black Lightning and Superman-Black Adam.

Stargirl Goes up Against the Injustice Society of America

In Season Three, Stargirl goes up against the ISA once again. This time, the team takes on the ISA, including Injustice Society members Brainwave, Icicle, Tigress, Dragon King, and Sportsmaster.

This season Stargirl will also be joined by new heroes (and villains!) such as Hourman II (played by Cameron Gellman), Wildcat II (played by Yvette Monreal), and Dragon King Jr. (Nelson Lee) and Solomon Grundy (Brian Stapf).

The Series Is Part of the DC Universe, Folded Into HBO Max

DC Universe is a digital subscription service by DC Comics. The service offers unlimited streaming of original programming and a curated selection of comics. It also includes a social media component with forums, chats, and the ability to connect with other subscribers who share your geeky interests.

The service was initially called DC Universe Infinite, and it became HBO Max in January 2021, following AT&T’s merger with Time Warner. HBO Max includes all the content that used to be in DC Universe Infinite (formerly DC Universe).

As for the cast, Luke Wilson (Pat Dugan/S.T.R.I.P.E.) and Amy Smart (Barbara Whitmore) are set to return as regulars, with Brec Bassinger returning as Stargirl. Meg DeLacy and Cameron Gellman will also be back as Cindy Burman/Shiv and Rick Tyler.

Here Are Some New Characters Joining the Show in Its Third Season

  • Colton Haynes will be playing a version of Roy Harper. He has been an ally of The Green Arrow and serves as his sidekick.
  • Yvette Monreal is the second incarnation of Wildcat, who was inspired by Ted Grant’s superhero persona. She gained superhuman powers from a cat-based cult and joined the Birds Of Prey team.
  • Joy Osmanski will be taking on the role of Tigress (Artemis Crock). She is known for her agility and hand-to-hand combat skills.

These characters bring something unique to Stargirl season 3, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens! If you want more information about them before watching it, then check out our article on what their roles might be this time around.

Season 4 and Renewal News

If you read this article, you probably already know that Stargirl is a fantastic show for DC Comics fans. While it doesn’t have the budget of other superhero shows on The CW, Stargirl has a lot of heart and is quickly becoming one of the best shows about superheroes on TV. So, to say that Season 4 would be welcome is an understatement. But will we get another season? Most experts predict that there will be at least two or three more seasons of Stargirl.
