Walnut Farming And The Process Of Walnut Cultivation

Walnut is a type of dried fruit that is widely used in food. Walnut Farming is done as a dried fruit. Walnuts contain many nutrients, which are also considered very beneficial for the human body. The upper part of the nut is very hard, but the grain found inside it is used in many ways in food. Walnut was first discovered in Iran, but because of its popularity, it is now widely grown without being consumed in many parts of the world, such as Italy, France, Spain, Germany.

How to Grow Walnut ( Good Weather, Temperature and Walnut Farming)

The cultivation of walnuts should not be done in an area where there is a problem of waterlogging because alkaline soils are dangerous for their cultivation. P.H. in a walnut-growing area value should be between 5-7. Apart from this, tropical regions are considered suitable for walnut cultivation.

Both severe summer and winter weather are not conducive to growing walnuts. Winter frosts affect the walnut yield above; too much rain is also not worth the harvest. Therefore, Walnut Farming should be done in areas with a mild climate.

Advanced Variety of Walnut

Pusa nuts

Plants of this type can be easily planted at an altitude of 900-3000 meters above sea level. Plants of these varieties are ready to give a yield in 3-4 years. This plant is usually tall, and its leaf is very small. This type of nut is mainly used in food.

Omega 3 walnuts

This is an unusual type of walnut whose plants are tall. The fruits of this species are widely used in medicine. It is considered the most effective heart disease. About 60 percent of the oil can be found in its fruit.

Climate and Earth

Walnut planting can be successfully done throughout the Himalayan region up to a height of 1300 to 2500 meters. But the area is frozen and does not experience high temperatures in summer. Walnut can tolerate even temperatures of 11 degrees Celsius in dormancy. But even at 2 to 3 degrees Celsius the temperature of new growth is harmful to fruits and leaves. Similarly, temperatures above 37.8 ° C are harmful to walnuts. Temperatures of 20 to 28 degrees Celsius are best for walnut cultivation.

The deep soil of humus loamy is ready for planting. Depth of soil to a pan, which impedes rooting. It is best to have a pH of 5.5 to 6.5 soil. There should be a proper drainage system.

Drawing and Planting

Before digging a hole for planting shoots, the garden should be shown in a square or rectangular area on a flat surface with a contour or consecutive path in a sloping area. Holes should be drilled within 10 to 12 meters depending on the size of the walnut species. Because fatal varieties of walnuts require a long distance and nearby fruit varieties require a short distance.

Walnuts, like other cool fruit, grow in winter, when the plant is quiet or in the fall. Then it should be used. The graft (union) made from plants should be at least 10 to 15 cm above ground level. The plant should be well pressed on all sides. The best time to plant seedlings is from the end of December to the beginning of February. The plant should be given simple water immediately after transplanting.

Walnut farming and Preparation of Soil and Land

Preparation should begin a few months in advance, that is, in October, the planting of the chopped walnut plant prepared in kindergarten. The size of the holes should be one cubic meter. When digging a hole, the top and bottom soils should be kept separate. While filling the hole, 20 to 25 kg of rotten fertilizer in each hole is mixed into the ground. At the same time, 15 to 20 kg of cow dung, 500 g of single superphosphate, 50 g of furadan dust or carbofuran granules and 50 g of tons M-45 are mixed into the topsoil by using Farmtrac tractor which is generally use for the process. The holes are filled with pressure. If the surface of the pit should be at least 6 inches above the ground, light irrigation should be provided after filling the hole so that the soil is well drained.

Irrigation (peanut farming)

Irrigation also plays an important role in successful walnut damage. it should be done periodically to properly grow quality walnut fruit. A Walnut tree needs 50 percent of summer water. The peak growth of the walnut fruit occurs in the 5th to 7th week of flowering. During this irrigation should be maintained periodically. Otherwise, the quality and size of the fruit will be adversely affected.

Time of Flowering and Fruit

Walnut Biju Plant starts producing plants after 10 to 12 years and planting Karmi after 4 to 5 years. The Walnut tree is bisexual. That is, male and female flowers look different from the same tree. The male flowers appear on the lateral branches in the catkins that are 5 to 10 cm tall, while the female flowers appear in clusters of 2 to 5 flower buds on the growing branches. The flowering period lasts from mid-April to the first week of May. And the fruiting season is adjusted from August to October depending on the variety of weather and location..

Walnut farming and Harvesting

To get a good harvest of walnuts, it is very important to provide the right amount of compost and fertilizer to the trees at the right time. Urvarak should be used in accordance with the spread of the tree by making a trench on the plates. In this case, rotten cow dung should be given to 50 to 100 kg per tree per year. Apart from this, 25 grams of Nitrogen, 50 grams of Phosphorus and 25 grams of Potash should be grown per tree for 25 years. You can use Ace Tractor for the process After this, the value should be stabilized. Fertilizer should be applied in February before opening the leaves.
